One thing I didn’t expect from this business was the LIFESTYLE it would provide me and my family! I’ve truly been able to live my dream life and even as a single momma, make my kiddos’ dreams a reality, too!

Growing up in rural America on a large ranch gave me a wonderful childhood — one I always dreamed of giving my kids. I didn’t think that lifestyle was something I’d be able to afford for my children as a single mom. But, I am! I was able to purchase the home/farm that I always admired as a child. We raise Angus cattle, Quarter Horses and goats and train barrel racing horses.

My home has given me an opportunity to tinker in one of my favorite hobbies — decorating — where I love filling it with unique western and rustic decor. Our land and animals provide a wonderful playground for my children to be outside exploring and living life to its fullest. 

This lifestyle provides us opportunities to explore the world as well! I’ve earned numerous trips that have taken us to places like Italy, Bora Bora, Dubai, Costa Rica and more. My map of the world now has pins on 32 states and 19 countries. The majority of that I’ve done in the past six years since starting my biz! But it’s not just me — I take my children. They have been able to experience so many cultures and learn SO MUCH at such young ages! 

On top of the travel we’ve been able to do, this business has afforded us a lifestyle of allowing my children to participate in activities at a level that just was NOT feasible before!! My children do activities rodeo, club baseball, competitive dance, music and pageants. Their competitions take us throughout the United States traveling many weeks of the year.

I now can say YES a lot more when my kids want to pursue an interest or chase a GOAL! I have not only the money to allow them to CHASE their dreams, but also the time freedom to BE THERE; to be present cheering them on from the sidelines and not missing a beat of my family’s lives due to work obligations or a boss. 

I’m a lifelong resident of east central Kansas, but I fell in love with the Ozarks during my childhood traveling to rodeos in the region! When Covid hit in 2020, it shut down travel for me and my family. Since I’ve always lived in the country and love privacy and seclusion, I started looking for a place outside of the city limits and with substantial land that we could enjoy and explore. We wanted to be able to bring our horses or ATV and be within a half day’s drive from our home. I also wanted a place where I could host my business colleagues for training and gatherings. It was a tall order to meet all of these expectations, but this property was beyond perfect!

I purchased Live Well Lodge in 2021 as a place that not only I could take my family and colleagues to enjoy an Ozark vacation, but also to use as a short-term rental so other people could enjoy its beauty and make memories here as well! Several years ago, my son battled cancer. I had always wanted to be in a position to GIVE BACK to the people and organizations who helped our family so much during that time in our lives. eXcel Wellness has provided me the financial means to not only contribute major donations but also the time FREEDOM to volunteer with organizations we’re passionate about! I’m teaching my kids the importance of giving back and am so EXCITED to watch them grow as servant leaders!

It’s amazing to think how one decision is allowing us to live beyond the dreams I had for my family! And, I’m able to do it debt-free, which means I’ll be able to continue to help my kiddos even after they graduate by paying for college educations so they can start their adult lives someday, free of debt.
