To know me is to know how much I love Chai Latte. I love it in the morning, in the cold months and when I’m traveling.

I do my own low-carb protein version at home often, but I’ve never been able to figure out how to order a low carb version from Starbucks when I’m out and about!! The regular short-sized Chai at Starbucks has a whopping 22.5 net carbs and the grande size has more sugar than a Snickers candy bar. OMGeeeeee 😱

But…. I figured it out!! How to do my FAV drink at Starbucks LOW CARB!! The version I ordered today has less than 3 net carbs and 60 calories, so it’s low carb and keto friendly. It is SOOOOO YUMMY!!!! What an amazing start to my day!!! 💗

Here are BOTH recipes so you can either make it at home or order it when you’re out and about!

How to order:

  • Grande organic chai tea (ask specifically for the brewed tea bag kind and NOT the concentrate)
  • 2 pumps sugar-free vanilla
  • 1 pump sugar-free cinnamon dulce
  • 1 packet Stevia
  • Steamed half and half
  • Cinnamon powder topping

For a dirty chai, ask for 2 shots espresso. Less than 3 net carbs/60 calories/2g fat.

Homemade version:

I heat 8 oz of water or almond milk with a vanilla chai tea bag. Add one scoop vanilla Lean. (To order Lean, email teamexcel@excelwellness.com or call/text 785.893.1108.) Sprinkle with cinnamon and/or top with some heavy whipping cream. Sometimes I add a teaspoon of sugar-free pumpkin flavor from Skinny Girl syrups.
