FEBRUARY IS AMERICAN HEARTH MONTH. HEART DISEASE IS SOMETHING WE OFTEN OVERLOOK. IS YOUR HEART HEALTHY?

The stats of this disease are staggering. Heart disease is the No. 1 cause of death in the United States! From cold hands to dark under-eye circles and low energy, indicators of poor circulation are all too common and might lead to heart disease. Carrying a little extra weight (or a lot), being sedentary, and more can place even more stress on your heart.

These are several factors can put you at risk for heart disease:

  • High Blood Pressure – Millions of Americans have high blood pressure. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) conclude that having control over your blood pressure is a great way to prevent heart disease.
  • High Blood Cholesterol – High cholesterol is a leading contributor to heart disease. Contributing factors to high cholesterol include obesity, smoking and an unhealthy diet.
  • Diabetes – Diabetes causes blood sugar to spike and buildup in the blood. This can cause damage to the vessels and nerves that maintain the heart muscle.
  • Smoking – Smoking is a leading cancer and heart disease contributor because it damages blood vessels, which can lead to heart disease.

Heart disease is often preventable with healthy lifestyle choices. There are plenty of things you can do to take care of your heart right now. That’s where our award-winning system* including its meal plans, nutritional guidelines and products can help:

  • Get plenty of sleep – Lack of sleep can lead to high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity. These factors all increase your risk of heart disease. It is recommended we aim for 7-9 hours a sleep a night. Use XR2* in the evenings to help you get better sleep!
  • Manage stress – Stress is linked to heart disease because it raises your blood pressure. Stress can even be a “trigger” to heart attacks. XR2* also works great to help combat stress when taken during the day!
  • A healthy diet – What we put in our bodies has a massive effect on our heart health. Follow the meal plans we offer with our systems*. Shop from the approved foods lists*. Eat the healthy recipes we share*. Take supplements such as Axion* and Global Blend* daily to bridge any nutritional gaps.
  • Be physically active – Routine fitness will help keep your blood and heart vessels healthy. The suggested physical guidelines for a healthy heart equates to about 150 minutes a week, or 30-minute sessions five times a week. Find things you enjoy to stay active whether it’s walking, swimming, biking, dancing, lifting weights, etc. If you don’t know where to start, our systems* actually include ideas to help you implement physical fitness into your daily routine.
  • Maintain a healthy weight – Being overweight or obese can increase your risk for heart disease because of other heart related factors like high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol. Implementing a healthy diet with a moderate exercise schedule can greatly reduce your risk of becoming overweight or obese. Use our award-winning systems* to help you stay at a healthy weight.
  • Implement Cardio daily – Cardio* supports and strengthens your cardiovascular system by promoting improved blood circulation, relaxing blood vessels to help blood move more freely, thus helping to keep your heart in tip-top shape daily. It’s a simple (and tasty) way to show your heart some love daily.
  • Take your Cheat – Not only does Cheat* help with calorie control and weight loss, but it has key ingredients in it that helps maintain healthy blood sugar and cholesterol by regulating glucose in the body and mimicking healthy cholesterol levels.
  • Use Trimstix – Trimstix helps with weight loss and weight maintenance. It also uses a patented ingredient called My Sugar Defense™ that is clinically shown to help control healthy blood-sugar levels in healthy individuals.

Following these suggestions can drastically improve your heart health and reduce the chance of you becoming a statistic of heart disease. This month (and every month), try to be conscious of your heart health and in return your heart will show you the love.

AN INSPIRATIONAL HEART-HEALTHY TRANSFORMATION STORY

On Valentine’s Day in February 2012, my good friend Jenalea Myers STARTED our system because she said she loved herself enough to change her life. Her mom and brother had both passed at young ages due to factors contributed with heart disease and being overweight. She wanted to change her path and be HEALTHY!! It wasn’t about looking a certain way; it was about living. SHE DID IT!!! Jenalea lost over 90 pounds in 2012 and has kept it off for eight years!! Not only did she implement our award-winning products, meal plans and support, to lose the weight and get healthier, but she continues to use them daily, as well as Cardio*, to support a healthy weight and a healthy heart.

I’m soooo proud of her!!! The month of February will always hold a very special place in my heart because it’s when my dear friend made the decision that CHANGED HER LIFE!!! She has since inspired and changed the lives of so many other people with her story and will continue to do so!!!

Please join me in giving a big HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Jenalea!!
